Event: Business Focus Day - Wellington
Attendees: 30 Nokia executives from Auckland, Wellington, Australia, Singapore and Finland
Meeting Theme: promoting Nokia as the best and the most innovative telecommunications company
Objective: to open the minds of the attendees to new creativity before the planned brainstorming session which would follow on from there.
Implementation: a short, sharp one-hour session straight after lunch. This is the time when many people are at their least productive, and the session provided a wake-up call for everyone there. One particularly distinguished gentleman from Finland commented that he hadn't had so much fun since he was a kid!
Results: feedback from the group afterwards included comments on how more freethinking and productive they felt during the brainstorming session. Their understanding of the process they had gone through during the juggling session had helped produce more creative and innovative thinking based on the 'I can' principle reinforced by mastering three balls so quickly.
