Event: National Conference
Attendees: approximately 175 delegates from all over New Zealand
Conference Theme: "Customers Forever"
Objective: To energize the audience and deliver a keynote performance which would emphasize and support the Conference theme.
Implementation: the audience had no clue as to what this session was all about - the element of surprise helps to keep things lively. This one-hour session followed the afternoon break and enlivened everybody for the evening ahead.
Results: before finishing their long day, the delegates were treated to a learning experience which they would not normally encounter. As the delegates were all self-employed business people, one of the most frequent comments from them was that they never got the chance to take part in a session such as this because they were all too busy 'getting on with getting on'. They had a blast!
